Hannah-Marie Turner

Design Assistant, Kathy Patton Designs

Hannah’s passion for design was woven long before her formal education in interior architecture. The daughter of a diplomat, Hannah grew up experiencing the landscapes and design influences of the Middle East and Asia. With each new move and amidst the challenge of the unfamiliar and the transient, Hannah found solace in the art of creating “home”. Her fascination with the interplay of space planning, fabric styles, lighting, and color grew with every dramatic new city she called home. Hannah utilized these changes in geography as self-taught lessons in creating environments that evoke feelings of comfort, belonging, and beauty. Empty, unfamiliar spaces became her canvases and transforming them into life-giving, comfortable, and welcoming homes taught her the profound impact thoughtful design can have on the human spirit.

Soon completing her four years of formal training in Interior Architecture and Design at The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, Hannah is putting her talent, education, and expertise to work assisting veteran designer Kathy Patton with residential design, digital space planning, graphic design, and marketing. Recent accolades for Kathy Patton Designs include selection to participate in the acclaimed 27th Annual Cashiers, NC Designer Showhouse (August 2024), and a 10-page feature of a Tennessee Riverfront custom home in Southern Home magazine in Jan/Feb 2024.
