Winter Refresh

Winter Refresh…

Does your home look bare after all the Holiday decor and lights have been put away? Embrace visual peace and serenity!  This is a great time to fill an empty corner with a green houseplant and put fresh flowers in a favorite vase.

I love to use white tulips because they look fresh and clean in any setting.

White orchids and ferns also add tranquil texture and color to your rooms.

Don't let the post-holiday blues affect the ambiance of your home.

This is also a good time to display your favorite game board and use it during the cold, shorter days of winter.  The good thing about seasons is they change!

I like to enjoy this quieter time of the year with simple greens and one color flowers, a roaring fire and a nice candle to add peace and ambience to the home.

Relax and enjoy this season . . . it will change before you know it!

For those who want a complete transformation, Kathy Patton Designs can do it. We have a client that rolls up her wool rugs for sisals and packs up her dark cocktail table for a scalloped painted table. Even lamps change out to transform her fall/winter look to the summer feel of a home on Lake Lanier. “This makes me so excited! I look forward to the week before Easter every year when we put away the dark colors and bring out the spring and summer pieces. It’s like I have a new house every six months!”
